What is happening?

TOWER ROAD & SHELLEY ROAD, BOURNEMOUTH – HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT WORKS
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council intends to make temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.
WHAT:
• Road closed to all vehicles and
• No parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time
WHERE:
• Tower Road from the eastern property boundary with No.61 to its junction with Ashley Road (A3049)
• Shelley Road from the eastern property boundary with No.37 to its junction with Ashley Road (A3049)
Suspension of one-way to permit two-way traffic (to facilitate resident access) on Tower Road
WHY: To facilitate highway improvement works by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council
WHEN: Anticipated dates 6th May 2025 until 20th May 2025
ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on site safety.
DIVERSION:
• Tower Road via remainder of Tower Road (suspension of one-way), Palmerston Road, Centenary Way (A35), Ashley Road (A3049)
• Shelley Road via remainder of Shelley Road, Palmerston Road, Centenary Way (A35), Ashley Road (A3049)

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
