Swindon, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

SECTION 14 – THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
NOTICE OF TRAFFIC ORDERS FOR TEMPORARY ROAD AND FOOTPATH CLOSURES
Notice is given that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL intend to make following orders:
(STRO10017 Greater Western Way, Swindon).
This Order is being introduced to facilitate lane closure during construction and investigatory works and will impose a 30mph speed limit on Great Western Way between Meads Roundabout and Mannington Roundabout. The Order comes into the force on the 28 April 2025 for 6 months but it is expected the restriction is only required until 6 June 2025.
(STRO10048 Kingsdown Lane, Swindon).
This Order is being introduced for S278 HIGHWAY WORKS and will impose a prohibition of driving on Kingsdown Lane outside Catsbrain Retirement Village. Traffic to be diverted via B4006 Ermin Street and A361 Highworth Road. The Order comes into force on the 26 May 2025 for 6 months but the restriction is expected to be in place until the 31 May 2025.
(STRO10027 Medbourne Lane, Liddington).
This Order is being introduced for CABLING WORKS and will impose a prohibition of driving on Medbourne Lane.
Traffic to be diverted via Medbourne Lane, B4192 Liddington Hill, The Ridgeway, Badbury Lane to Ridgeway, Badbury Lane, Medbourne Lane and vice versa.
The Order comes into force on the 6 May 2025 for 6 months but works are expected to take place on the 6 May 2025 between the times of 09:30am to 15:30pm.
(STRO10049 Trenchard Road, Stanton Fitzwarren).
This Order is being introduced for RESURFACING WORKS and will impose a prohibition of driving on Trenchard Road between Mill Road to B4019 Highworth Road. Traffic to be diverted via B4019 Highworth Road, B4019 Cricklade Road, A361 Highworth Road, A361 Swindon Street, A361 Swindon Road, A361 Highworth Road, Stanton Park Lane, The Avenue, Trenchard Road and vice versa. The Order comes into force on the 28 April 2025 for 6 months but works are expected to take place between the times 09:30am to 15:30pm.
(STRO10041 Hayman Crescent and Lowry Way, Swindon).
This Order is being introduced for development works and will impose a closure of the footways on Lowry Way and Hayman Crescent on either side of the junction of the development with the opposite footway. The Order comes into force on the 27 April 2025 for 12 months.
(STRO10065 Ventnor Close, Swindon).
This Order is being introduced for SNN BUNGALOWS PROJECT and will impose a closure of Ventnor Close between properties No 25 to 36. No alternative route. This Order comes into force on the 1 May 2025 for 6 months but it is anticipated that the restrictions are only required until 31 October 2025.
(STRO10056 Church Row, Hinton Parva).
This Order is being introduced for OPENREACH and will impose a prohibition of driving on Church Row between Little Hinton Lane and Tuckers Lane. Traffic to be diverted via Tuckers Lane, Body Horse Hill and vice versa. The Order comes into force on the 8 May 2025 for 6 months but works are expected to take place on the 8 May 2025 only between the times of 09:30 and 15:30.
(STRO10048 Woodland View, Wroughton).
This Order is being introduced for OPENREACH and will impose a prohibition of driving on Church Row between Little Hinton Lane and Tuckers Lane. Traffic to be diverted via Tuckers Lane, Body Horse Hill and vice versa. The Order comes into force on the 8 May 2025 for 6 months but works are expected to take place on the 8 May 2025 only between the times of 09:30 and 15:30.
(STRO10055, Shaw Ridge Footbridge)
This Order is being introduced for FOOTBRIDGE WORKS and will impose a closure of the footbridge over Tewkesbury Way between Ramleaze Drive and Whitehill Way Roundabouts. Pedestrian/Cyclist to be diverted via the path through Shaw Ridge Linear Park, Grange Park and Ramleaze. The Order comes into force on the 12 May 2025 for 12 months but it anticipated that the restrictions are only required until 6 June 2025.
