What is happening?

BRIGHTON AND HOVE CITY COUNCIL

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Temporary Traffic Order - Lansdowne Place, Hove

1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:-

The closure of Lansdowne Place, Hove at both ts northern and southern junctions on either side of Western Road.

2. The Order is necessary to allow contractors to carry out utility repair and maintenance works safely on Western Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained, and a signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic.

3. This Order comes into force on 28 April 2025 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 6 May 2025.
