TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025 (NORWICH)
Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984
Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:
i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:
CLABON ROAD – from its junction with Wall Road for 30m northwards to facilitate new water connection works from 22nd to 24th April 2025 (may continue until 5th June 2025). Alternative route is via: Wall Road, Sprowston Road, Shipfield, Denton Road, Clabon Road and vice versa. The works promoter is Anglian Water.
TOMBLAND – from 5m north of its junction with Queen Street for 10m northwards on the eastern side of the carriageway only to facilitate footway reinstatement works. Traffic (constituting any class of vehicle) over the road shall be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load, and/or unload between 09:30 - 15:00 on 22nd April 2025 (may continue until the 3rd June 2025). Alternative route is via: N/A. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
ii) THEY HAVE MADE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:
ROSARY ROAD – from 2m south of its junction with Chalk Hill Road for 25m southwards to facilitate chamber repair works from 14th to 16th April 2025 (may continue until 28th May 2025). Alternative route is via: Southbound Diversion Rosary Road, Riverside Road, Thorpe Road. Northbound Diversion Rosary Road, Thorpe Road, Carrow Road, Canary Way, Koblenz Avenue, Riverside Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
BLUEBELL ROAD – from its junction with Norvic Drive for 30m northwards to facilitate installation works for bus shelter between 09:30 and 15:30 on 14th and 15th April 2025 (may continue until 27th May 2025). Alternative route is via: Newmarket Road Slip, Newmarket Road, Mile End Road, Colman Road, Earlham Road, Bluebell Road and vice versa. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Where an Order is for a reason other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath. Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required. The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/restriction where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months or 6 months in respect of footpaths, cycle paths, bridleways, restricted byways, and byways open to all traffic (BOAT).
Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
