Temporary Road Closure Order 2025

On 11/3/25 South Lanarkshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle on Hamilton Road, Rutherglen, between Stonelaw Road and no.60. 

The Order will be in operation from 8am 26 May 2025 until 6pm 12 September 2025.

Alternative route

Northbound Traffic - Stonelaw Road, Main Street, McCallum Avenue (vice versa).

Southbound Traffic – Calderwood Road, Dryburgh Avenue, Stonelaw Road (vice versa).
