Hertfordshire - Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures due to Works

What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BARKWAY ROAD, NUTHAMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Barkway Road, Nuthampstead from a point 220m south east of its junction with Nuthampstead Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 100m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Barkway Road, Nuthampstead Road, B1368 (High Street/London Road/Biggin Hill/unnamed road), Lincoln Hill, C11 (unnamed road) and Barkway Road.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 29 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF C11 (UNNAMED ROAD), NUTHAMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of C11 (unnamed road), Nuthampstead from a point in line with the western boundary of ‘Bulls Farm Cottage’ north westwards for a distance of approximately 180m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via C11 (unnamed road), Raymounts Lane, C11 (unnamed road), Barkway Road and C11 (unnamed road).

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 29 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN DARK LANE, SANDON) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using that length of Dark Lane, Sandon from its junction with Rushden Road north westwards to its junction with Payne End, a distance of approximately 210m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Rushden Road and Payne End.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 28 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN HIGH STREET, REED) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of High Street, Reed from its junction with Driftway north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Jacksons Lane, a distance of approximately 416m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Driftway, Church Lane, Blacksmiths Lane and Jacksons Lane.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BELL LANE, BARLEY) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bell Lane, Barley from a point 68 meters north west of its junction with Barley Public Footpath No.016 north westwards for a distance of approximately 200m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Bell Lane, C11 (unnamed road), B1368 (High Street/Cambridge Road), Bogmoor Road and Bell Lane.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing telegraph pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 14 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MILL LANE, ANSTEY) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Mill Lane, Anstey from a point 190m south east of its junction with Anstey Public Footpath No.006 north westwards for a distance of approximately 100m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Mill Lane, Raymounts Lane, C11 (unnamed road), Lincoln Hill, B1368 (unnamed road), B1038 (unnamed road/Conduit Lane), C10 (unnamed road) and Mill Lane.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing telegraph pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 17 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF C11 (UNNAMED ROAD), ANSTEY) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of C11 (unnamed road), Anstey from its junction with Anstey Public Footpath No.005 south westwards for a distance of approximately 65m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Barkway Road, Nuthampstead Road, B1368 (High Street/London Road/Biggin Hill/unnamed road), Lincoln Hill and Barkway Road.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing telegraph pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 17 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
