What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET

The following Planning Applications have been received by the London Borough of Barnet

25/1123/OUT: Land at North Finchley Town Centre. Comprehensive, phased mixed use redevelopment through the demolition and alteration of existing buildings/structures and erection of new buildings/structures to provide a range of town centre uses including retail and related uses (Use Classes E, and sui generis); residential (Use Class C3); community uses (Use Classes F1/F2; landscaping and public realm; alteration of existing and creation of new accesses for vehicles, cycles and pedestrians including junction reconfiguration works to the highway; utility and energy generation facilities; infrastructure and associated facilities, together with plant, refuse/recycling storage, car and cycle parking, servicing and other associated works. (Outline application with all matters reserved except access.

The Outline Planning Application includes an Illustrative Scheme which indicates one way in which the development for which planning permission is being sought could be delivered. The Illustrative Scheme contains:

– New buildings up to 21 storeys

– 855 new homes (Use Class C3)

In addition to new retail, commercial and community uses, landscaping and public realm, highways and public square, the reconfiguration of existing roads within the site, the relocation of the bus station, new road arrangement along High Road. Reserved Matters Application addressing the layout, scale, appearance and landscaping for the Plot 23 Road (in part of Plot 23) within Phase 2A, as identified in Condition 1.3(b) and Condition 2.1 attached to planning permission F/04687/13 for the comprehensive mixed use redevelopment of the Brent Cross Cricklewood Area. 25/1011/HSE: 113 Hampstead Way London NW11 7JN. Insertion of 1no. conservation rooflight to front roof. 25/1420/HSE: 3 Linden Lea London N2 0RF. Single storey rear extension. Alterations to fenestration. Change to habitable rooms. Changes to windows. Reason(s) for advertising: Development in a Conservation Area.

25/1457/PNR: The Grange Building Formerly Known as Middlesex Grange 141 The Ridgeway London NW7 1EY. Prior Approval (Approved plans) application under permission 22/4698/PIU dated 27/11/2023 for ‘Demolition of existing building and construction of a part-3, part-4 storey building comprising 9no self-contained flats. Approved plans: Demolition and Basement and Parking. Amendments include cycle storage and car parking area with plant enclosure. Reason(s) for advertising: Not applicable.

25/1017/HSE: 103 Farm Road London NW2 2DQ. Installation of 2no. air conditioning units on north side elevation (Retrospective application). Reason(s) for advertising: Development in a General Industrial Area.

25/1041/RNS: Grange Building Formerly The Ridgeway London NW7 1EL. The construction of a part single, part two storey building comprising 7no dwellings, and associated landscaping and ancillary works not in accordance with planning permission ref. 16/8185/FUL. Reason(s) for advertising: Not applicable.

25/1406/S73: Overbrook 24 The Bishops Avenue London N2 0AJ. Variation of condition 1 (Plan numbers) pursuant to planning permission 24/2151/S106 dated 10/01/2025 for “Retention of and alterations to including part rear extension, proposed side and rear extension and first floor rear extension including conversion of garage to habitable room, addition of pitched roof over first floor rear extension. 25/1442/FUL: The Rectory and Rectory Close Hadley Common Barnet EN5 5QD. Replacement of roof coverings and rooflights. Reason(s) for advertising: Development in a Conservation Area.

25/1414/HSE: 8 Hutchings Walk London NW11 6LT. Single storey rear extension. New rooflights. Roof extensions including 1no. rear and side dormer window and 1no. rooflight to rear roof slope. Alterations to rear and side passageway including, new flat roof over both garage and side passageway walls raised and aligned with parapet coping stone, replacing rear passageway timber door with matching Critical door. Reason(s) for advertising: Development in a Conservation Area.
