Chapel Street - Temporary One Way Road Closure For Essential Works

What is happening?

The Council of the City of Salford intends to make the following Order in no less than 7 days under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

SALFORD CITY COUNCIL
(CHAPEL STREET) (TEMPORARY ONE WAY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

The Order will introduce:
Temporary One Way Road Closure:
Chapel Street (westbound) from the junction of New Bailey Street to the junction of Trinity Way, Salford.
The Order is necessary for essential works to be done. Diversion routes will be via: Blackfriars Road - Trinity Way.

The Order is intended to come into operation on 5th May 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The closures will be in place 24 hours a day.

A copy of the Order and plan of the area may be examined at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm inclusive. If you are unable to attend in person, copies of the documentation may be requested via the email phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or the postal address below.
