What is happening?

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL – NOTICE OF MAKING COTEFIELD DRIVE, LEIGHTON BUZZARD WAITING RESTRICTIONS

On 8th April 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-

To extend No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Leighton Buzzard:-

1. Cotefield Drive, north side, from a point approximately in line with the common property boundary between 208A Heath Road and 2a Cotefield Drive (where the existing double yellow lines end) and extending in an easterly direction for approximately 5 metres.

2. Cotefield Drive, south side, from a point approximately in line with the common property boundary between 208A Heath Road and 2a Cotefield Drive (where the existing double yellow lines end) and extending in an easterly direction for approximately 6 metres.

Date of Operation:- The Order will come into operation on the 22rd April 2025.

High Court Challenge:- Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the ground that any requirement of that Section had not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of 8th April 2025, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL – NOTICE OF MAKING LEOPOLD ROAD, LINSLADE WAITING RESTRICTIONS

On 8th April 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-

To replace No Waiting from Monday to Friday between 10am – 11am with No Waiting from Monday to Friday between 8am and 4:30pm on the following lengths of road in Linslade:-

1. Leopold Road, west side, from its junction with Soulbury Road, extending in a south-westerly direction for approximately 92 metres, ending at a point approximately in line with the southern property boundary belonging to No. 14 (where the existing School Keep Clear markings end).

2. Leopold Road, south-west side, from a point approximately 5 metres northwest of its junction with Springfield Road and extending in a north-westerly direction for approximately 50 metres (up to where the existing School Keep Clear markings begin).

To introduce No Stopping on School Entrance Markings from Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 4.30pm on the following length of road in Linslade:-

1.  Leopold Road, east side, from a point approximately 50 metres northwest of the junction with Springfield Road and extending in a north-westerly direction and then following the curvature of the kerb northeast for a total distance of approximately 28 metres.

On 8th April 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-

To introduce Contraflow Cycling on the following length of road in Linslade:-

1.  Leopold Road, from its junction with Soulbury Road to its junction with Springfield Road – motor vehicles permitted to travel in that direction only.

  Cyclists can enter at either end.

(40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025 On 8th April 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council made the above named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-

To introduce a 40mph Speed Limit on the following lengths of road in Heath and Reach:-

1.  Woburn Road, from the Woburn Road/Sheep Lane/ A5 roundabout, extending in a southerly direction for approximately 92 metres.

Date of Operation: The Order will come into operation on 22nd April 2025.

To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Leighton Buzzard:-

1.  Woburn Road, east side, from a point approximately 1.5 metres south of the northern flank wall belonging to No.20 Woburn Road (where the current double yellow lines end) and extending in a slightly northeasterly direction for approximately 17 metres.
