ZONE T EXTENSION

(Reference 25/054)

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames propose to make the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46 and 49 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

  2. The general effect of the Parking Places Order will be to:

    i. Introduce an extension to the T Controlled Parking Zone in lengths of Glamorgan Gardens. The Controlled Parking Zone will operate between 8.30am and 10.30am on Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

    ii. Amend the list of properties eligible to apply for parking permits so that the following properties can apply for either a Zone T or T4 parking permit:

    • High Street Teddington - Nos 37 to 89a inclusive

    • Wades Lane – All properties

  3. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions operating between 8.30am and 10.30am on Mondays to Fridays at any time in lengths of Glamorgan Gardens.

  4. Within the zone, there will be designated permit holder only parking places and permit parking areas where only vehicles which display a valid permit may park during the controlled hours.

  5. Copies of the proposed Orders, a plan showing the location and effect of the Orders and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Orders:

    (a) can be inspected, quoting Reference 25/054, at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

    (b) may be viewed on the Council’s web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices.

  6. Persons wishing to object to or support the proposals or any part thereof should write to the Head of Engineering, Traffic and Parking Policy, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ by no later than 16 May 2025, giving the grounds of their objection. SHAFI WAY & SANDY LANE, TEDDINGTON ZONE T8 EXTENSION

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames propose to make the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46 and 49 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

  2. The general effect of the Parking Places Order will be to introduce an extension to the T8 Controlled Parking Zone in lengths of Shaft Way and Sandy Lane. A Permit Parking Area will be introduced in Shaft Way and a length of permit parking bays will be introduced in Sandy Lane. The Controlled Parking Zone will operate between 10am and 12 Noon on Mondays to Fridays.

  3. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions operating between 10am and 12 Noon on Mondays to Fridays at any time in lengths of Shaft Way and Sandy Lane.

  4. Within the zone, there will be designated permit holder only parking places and permit parking areas where only vehicles which display a valid permit may park during the controlled hours.

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames propose to make the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46 and 49 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

  2. The general effect of the Parking Places Order will be to introduce an extension to the T4 Controlled Parking Zone in lengths of High Street, Birch Close, Manor Road and Twickenham Road. Residents of St Alban’s Gardens will be able to purchase T4 permits. Residents of High Street Nos 37 to 89a inclusive and Wades Lane will be able to purchase permits for both Zone T and T4. The Controlled Parking Zone will operate between 10am and Noon on Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

  3. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions operating either between 10am and Noon or Mondays to Fridays or at any time in lengths of High Street, Birch Close, Manor Road and Twickenham Road.

  4. Within the zone, there will be designated permit holder only parking places and permit parking areas where only vehicles which display a valid permit may park during the controlled hours, or shared use bays.

  5. Copies of the proposed Orders, a plan showing the location and effect of the Orders and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Orders:

    (a) can be inspected, quoting Reference 25/056, at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

    (b) may be viewed on the Council’s website at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Road Closure, & Bus Lane Suspension

Riverview Gardens & Cross Deep, Twickenham.

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate remedial repair works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Riverview Gardens & Cross Deep Twickenham.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed or wait or stand in Riverview Gardens, from the junction with Cross Deep for a distance of 15m. Whilst the works take place the bus lane in Cross Deep will also be suspended. The effect being that vehicular traffic shall be permitted to proceed in the length of bus lane between Riverview Gardens and Bonser Road.

  3. Whilst Riverview Gardens, Twickenham is closed, an alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Cross Deep, Bonser Road, Riverview Road, and vice versa.

  4. The order will come into effect on 14 April 2025. The works are anticipated to be in progress from 14 April to 17 April 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Road Closure

Level crossing at Strawberry Hill Station

Tower Road/Wellesley Road, Twickenham

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate railway works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in the level crossing at Strawberry Hill station in Tower Road and Wellesley Road, Twickenham.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person may permit a vehicle to proceed in Wellesley Road between its junction with Tower Road and Waldegrave Gardens.

  3. Whilst the level crossing is closed, an alternative route for traffic will be available via Wellesley Road, Hampton Road, Heath Road, A310, Tower Road and vice versa.

  4. The order will come into effect on 18 April 2025. The restrictions will be in force at night from 18 April 2025 until 19 April 2025, and will remain in force for 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  5. The prohibitions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  6. Nothing in the Notice will apply to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate sewer cover replacement works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in The Square, Richmond.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed or wait or stand in The Square, from the junction with Eton Street to outside number 21 Sheen Road.

  3. Whilst The Square, Richmond is closed, an alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Eton Street, Paradise Road, Red Lion Street, George Street, Kew Road, Church Road, Sheen Road, and vice versa.

  4. The order will come into effect on 18 April 2025. The works are anticipated to be in progress overnight from 18 April to 19 April 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water connection works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Udney Park Road, Teddington.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed or stand or wait in Udney Park Road, from the junction with Davenport Close to the junction with Chadwick Close.

  3. Whilst Udney Park Road, Teddington is closed, an alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via High Street, Station Road, Cromwell Road and vice versa.

  4. The order will come into effect on 12 April 2025. The works are anticipated to be in progress from 12 April to 13 April 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  5. The prohibitions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  6. Nothing in the Order applies to:
