BLACKTHORN ROAD (AMBROSDEN)
PROPOSED PARALLEL CROSSING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council as the local highway authority under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers proposes to introduce a Parallel Crossing (combined pedestrian & cycle crossing) on Blackthorn Road in Ambrosden at the following location:
Blackthorn Road – located approx. 55 metres* east of its junction with Ploughley Road,
the crossing will consist of a zebra crossing (for pedestrian use only) with an adjoining parallel priority cycleway.
*All dimensions are approximate, with details (including materials) to be determined as part of the final design process should approval be given
Documents giving more details of the proposals are available for public inspection online by visiting https://letstalk.oxfordshire.gov.uk Copies may be made available on request.
Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below (or via the web address above) no later than 09 May 2025. The County Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public. Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Kidlington, Footpath in front of 46 – 56 Axtell Close
Date of Order: 21/4/2025
Coming into force: 28/4/2025
This Order is being introduced because of SSEN electrical maintenance works – excavation and cable laying which is anticipated to be completed 9/5/2025. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily part of the footpath in front of Nos. 46 - 56 Axtell Close.
Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of footpath. The alternative route will be signed via Axtell Close Footway. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. (Ref: T15351/RMF)

Kidlington, Footpath Between Wilsdon Way and Chorefields
Date of Order: 7/4/2025
Coming into force: 14/4/2025
This Order is being introduced because of SSEN electrical maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed 23/4/2025. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily part of the Footpath between Wilsdon Way and Chorefields, Kidlington. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of footpath. The alternative route will be signed via Chorefields and Wilsdon Way. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. (Ref: T15349/RMF)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Buckingham Road, Newton Purcell, 30 mph Speed Limit
Date of Order: 7/4/2025
Coming into force: 14/4/2025
This Order is being introduced because of telecoms works which are anticipated to take 4 days to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily reduce the current 50mph speed limit to 30 mph from approx. 85 metres south of the A421 roundabout to approx. 200 metres north of the junction with Roman Road. Restriction to be in place 08:00 to 18:00 hours daily. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
The relevant part of the Oxfordshire County Council (A4421 Bicester to Finmere) (50mph Speed Limit) Order 2005 is temporarily suspended for the duration of the works. (Ref: T14965/RMF)
