Tonbridge and Malling, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA

 

Ashes Lane, Hadlow (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow the Hadlow College Lambing Weekend event to be held, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ashes Lane, Hadlow, on or after 26th April 2025 for up to 2 days or until the event has been completed.

The road will be closed between The Rose Revived Public House and Foxglove Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any eastbound through traffic is via Ashes Lane, Higham Lane, Cuckoo Lane, A26 Hadlow Road East, A26 Tonbridge Road.

The alternative route for any westbound through traffic is via A26 Tonbridge Road, A26 High Street, Carpenters Lane, Hamptons Road, Puttenden Road, Higham Lane, Ashes Lane.

 

Bradford Street, New Wharf Road & River Walk, Tonbridge, TN9 1EH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Bradford Street, New Wharf Road & River Walk, Tonbridge, on or after 22nd April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of B2260 High Street to the Job Centre. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The One-way Orders on Bradford Street, New Wharf Road and River Walk will be suspended to allow access to diverted traffic. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bradford Street, River Walk, New Wharf Road, B2260 High Street and vice versa.

 

Broadwater Road, West Malling (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow a water leak repair to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Broadwater Road, West Malling, on or after 5th May 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Broadwater Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Broadwater Road, Well Street, Pikey Lane, Broadwater Road and vice versa.

 

Chatham Road & Salisbury Road, Aylesford, ME5 9QX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & PROHIBITION OF RIGHT-HAND TURN) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new chamber installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chatham Road & Salisbury Road, Aylesford, on or after 23rd April 2025 for up to 21 days or until the works have been completed.

Chatham Road will be closed in the northbound direction at the junction of Salisbury Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A No Right-Turn will be imposed on traffic exiting Salisbury Road.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A229 Bluebell Hill, A229 Bluebell Hill Slip Road to Lord Lees Roundabout, A229 Lord Lees Roundabout, A229 Bluebell Hill Slip Road to A229 Bluebell Hill Southbound, A229 Bluebell Hill, A229 Kits Coty Slip Road Southbound, Rochester Road, Chatham Road.

 

Hatham Green Lane, Stansted (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hatham Green Lane, Stansted, on or after 22nd April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Hathan Green Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hatham Green Lane, Plaxdale Green Road, Parsons Lane and vice versa.

 

High Street, Aylesford, ME20 7UT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow sewer cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Aylesford, on or after 22nd April 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside property number 7 to 83, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Rochester Road, Pilgrims Way, Bull Lane, High Street and vice versa.

 

High Street, Wrotham, TN15 7AB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Wrotham, on or after 24th April 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Old Vicarage, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, Bull Lane, A20 London Road, A227 Wrotham Bypass, Borough Green Road and vice versa.

 

Lower Warren Road, Aylesford (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre cable installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Warren Road, Aylesford, on or after 8th May 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Warren Road, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.

 

Mill Hall, Aylesford ME20 7UZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new electric connection to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Hall, Aylesford, on or after 6th May 2025 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Kings Crescent. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.

 

Oak Drive, Larkfield ME20 6NF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Oak Drive, Larkfield, on or after 6th May 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Chestnut Walk to the junction of Blackthorn Drive, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chestnut Walk, Blackthorn Drive and vice versa.

 

Pilgrims Way & High Street, Wouldham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow overhead cabling works to carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way & High Street, Wouldham, on or after 23rd April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

High Street will be closed outside 320, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The One-way order on High Street will be suspended to allow access. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via School Lane, High Street, Knowle Road and vice versa.

 

Philpots Lane, Hildenborough (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow apparatus repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Philpots Lane, Hildenborough, on or after 7th May 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Philpots Lodge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Philpots Lane, Lower Street, Rings Hill, Philpots Lane and vice versa.

 

South Ash Road, Ash, Brands Hatch Road & Fawkham Road, Fawkham TN15 7EN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF WEIGHT RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow overhead structure repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of South Ash Road, Ash, on or after 7th May 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside South Ash Manor, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The weight restrictions on Brands Hatch Road & Fawkham Road will be suspended to allow access for diverted traffic.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, South Ash Road, Ash Road, Chapel Wood Road, Ash Road, Hartley Road, B260 Main Road, Fawkham Road, Valley Road, Brands Hatch Road, Fawkham Road, A20 London Road, Ash Lane, South Ash Road and vice versa.

 

Tower Hill, Offham, ME19 5NQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tower Hill, Offham, on or after 21st April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Offham House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
