What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
THANET AREA
B2050 Manston Road, Acol & Birchington (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2050 Manston Road, Acol & Birchington, on or after 6th May 2025 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of B2050 Park Lane and Woodchurch Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2050 Park Lane, A28 Canterbury Road, A299 Thanet Way, A299 Canterbury Road West, B2190 Minster Road, B2190 Un-named Road From Minster Road To Columbus Avenue, B2190 Spitfire Way, B2050 Manston Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
B2052 Albion Street, Broadstairs, CT10 1EP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2052 Albion Street, Broadstairs, on or after 22nd April 2025 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 2, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2052 Albion Street, B2052 Nelson Place, Crow Hill, Lindenthorpe Road, Carlton Avenue, A255 High Street, B2052 High Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Cottington Road, Cliffsend, CT12 5LJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cottington Road, Cliffsend, on or after 6th May 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of St Augustines Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Foads Lane, Sandwich Road, Ramsgate Road, A256 Ebbsfleet Roundabout, A256 Richborough Way, A299 Sevenscore Roundabout, Cottington Link, Cottington Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
High Street, Margate, CT9 1EZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Margate, on or after 22nd April 2025 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 20A, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way Order will be suspended between the junctions of Market Street and New Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Market Street, Lombard Street, B2055 Hawley Street and New Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Monkton Street, Monkton, CT12 4EY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Monkton Street, Monkton, on or after 23rd April 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed opposite number 56, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Monkton Street, Willetts Hill, A299 Canterbury Road West, Tothill Street, Monkton Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Old Green Road, Margate, CT9 3LZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas works to be carried out Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Old Green Road, Margate, on or after 17th April 2025 until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Northumberland Avenue and Holly Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Northumberland Avenue, Northdown Road, Holly Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Percy Road, Margate, CT9 2DR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Percy Road, Margate, on or after 21st April 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Percy House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Percy Road, Sweyn Road, B2051 Queens Parade, B2051 Ethelbert Crescent and Edgar Road.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Percy Road, Edgar Road, Stanley Road and Gordon Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Sea View Road, Broadstairs, CT10 1DW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sea View Road, Broadstairs, on or after 21st April 2025 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 32, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sea View Road, Kings Avenue, Lindenthorpe Road, Lyndhurst Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
St Georges Road, Ramsgate, CT11 7EF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Georges Road, Ramsgate, on or after 5th May 2025 for up to 28 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Union Road, Cecilia Road, A255 Hereson Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Tothill Street & Foxborough Lane, Minster, CT12 4AJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tothill Street & Foxborough Lane, Minster, on or after 7th May 2025 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
Closures will be a rolling closure, once works are completed on one road, works will commence on the next.
Tothill Street will be closed between the junctions of Orchard Close and Foxborough Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tothill Street, Monkton Road, Monkton Street, Willetts Hill, A299 Canterbury Road West and vice versa.
Foxborough Lane will be closed at the junction of Tothill Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Foxborough Lane, Bedlam Court Lane, Church Street, High Street, Tothill Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Vale Square, Ramsgate, CT11 9LY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Vale Square, Ramsgate, on or after 6th May 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Crescent Road and Harrison Road, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Vale Square, Crescent Road, West Cliff Road, Cannonbury Road, Florence Road, Harrison Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
