What is happening?
PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(LICHFIELD ROAD FOOTWAY) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting pedestrians from proceeding on Lichfield Road
Footway between Duke Street and The Vine Public House.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of six
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken from 14 April 2025 until 25 April 2025.
The diversion route is: Duke Street, Summer Row Fp098,
Taylor Street and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement
works by Cadent.
