What is happening?

Mason Ave, Poulton with Fearnhead

(Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2025

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Mason Ave from its jct. with Padgate Ln for its entire length. The Order will be effective from 28th April 2025. The closure is for a period of 1 day, between 9:30am & 3:30pm & is required to allow Openreach to carry out pole replacement work.

Owen St (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2025

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Owen St from its jct. with Winwick Rd to its jct. with Dallam Ln. The Order will be effective from 22nd April 2025. The closure is for a period of 2 weeks. The alternative route will be via Winwick Rd, Pinners Brow, Winwick St, Tanners Ln, Dallam Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to carry out network diversion work.

Pillmoss Ln, Appleton

(Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2025

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Pillmoss Ln from its jct. with Summer Ln to the borough boundary with Cheshire West & Chester. The Order will be effective from 30th April 2025. The closure is for a period of 1 day, between 9:30am & 3:30pm. The alternative route will be via Summer Ln, Newton Ln, Grimsditch Ln, Tarporley Rd & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Openreach access to its overhead network.

Pinewood Rd, Burtonwood

(Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2025

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Pinewood Rd from its jct. with Melrose Ave to its jct. with Arncliffe Dr. The Order will be effective from 28th April 2025. The closure is for a period of 2 weeks. The alternative route will be via Melrose Ave, Cambourne Rd, Fir Tree Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow United Utilities to carry sewer repair works.

(BSIP Phase 1) Temporary Order 2025

The effect of which is as follows:

Prohibition of Movement: Prohibit the left turn movement for vehicles travelling westbound on Long Ln wishing to gain access to Winwick Rd;

Prohibition of Driving: Long Ln between its jct. with Fisher Ave & its jct. with Winwick Rd; Ireland St between its jct. with Winwick Rd & its jct. with Northway Cres; Corbet Ave Passageway Rear of 20 to 30 for its entire length;

Winwick Rd (uncl.) between its jct. with Winwick Rd A49 & its jct. with Silver St;

Prohibition of Stopping: Entire lengths of road: Bluecoat St; Collegiate Rd; Hopwood St; Jockey St; Oliver St;

Part lengths of road: Ireland St from Winwick Rd to North Ave; Kerfoot St from Winwick Rd to Folly Ln; Longford St from Winwick Rd to Rialto St; Long Ln from Winwick Rd to Northway; Watkin St from Longford St to Melville Cres; Winwick Rd from Long Ln to Orford Ln;

Footway Closures: Entire lengths of footway: Alder Ln; Bluecoat St; Corbet Ave; Hopwood St; Ireland St; Jockey St; Jubilee Way; Kerfoot St; Longford St; Oliver St; Watkin St; Winwick Rd;

Temporary Suspension of The Borough of Warrington (Winwick Rd) (Revocation & Bus & Cycle Lane) Order 2010 in so far as it relates to Article 6, Schedule 2 & the Bus Lane on Winwick Rd (North bound Carriageway) – In a north bound direction between its jct. with Winwick Rd A49 to a point 59.5 metres south of its jct. with Winwick Rd, A49. The Order will be effective from 6th May 2025. The restrictions will be carried out in phases as follows:

Prohibition of Stopping: from 6th May 2025 for 34 weeks

Temporary Suspension of Bus Lane: from 9th May 2025 for 5 months

Prohibition of Driving (Winwick Rd (uncl.)) on 9th May for 5 months

Footway Closures: from 21st June 2025 for 27 weeks

Prohibition of Driving (Corbet Ave Passageway Rear of 20 to 30) from 21st June 2025 for 27 weeks;

Prohibition of Movement from 16th July 2025 for 8 days, between 7pm & 6am;

Prohibition of Driving (Long Ln) from 23rd July 2025 for 3 weeks;

Prohibition of Driving (Ireland St) from 6th August 2025 for 3 weeks.

The alternative routes will be as follows:

Prohibition of Driving (Long Ln) via Long Ln, School Rd, Orford Green, Orford Rd, Birchwood Way, Woolston Grange Ave, Manchester Rd, Lythgoes Ln, Winwick Rd & vice versa;

Prohibition of Driving (Ireland St) will be signed on site;

Footway Closures will be signed on site.

The closures are required to allow for the construction works associated with BSIP.

Weaste Ln (Phase B) (Prohibition of Driving, Clearway & Footway Closure)

Temporary Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Council made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on 7th November 2024. The effect of which is to introduce a Prohibition of Driving, Clearway & Footway Closure on Weaste Ln from its jct. with Cliff Ln to its jct. with Halfacre Ln. The Order was effective from 18th November 2024 with the restrictions in place until 18th April 2025, however, they are now required to remain in place for a further 6 months. The access, alternative route & reason for the works remains the same as previously advertised.

The temporary restrictions will be in place as & when the signs are in place on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.

Please note objections may not be made against Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
