Cullercoats, Tynemouth & Whitley Bay, North Tyneside - Temporary Restriction Of Traffic For Telecom Pole Maintenance

What is happening?

THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF NORTH TYNESIDE
CULLERCOATS, TYNEMOUTH & WHITLEY BAY, NORTH TYNESIDE
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic:

CULLERCOATS
On Thursby Avenue to Fairfield Drive. An alternate route is available via Fairfield Drive, Hartington Road, The Broadway, Farringdon Road, Kendal Avenue. 

The proposed temporary Order is required for telecom pole maintenance and will come into force on 20 May 2025 for a period not exceeding 2 days.

TYNEMOUTH
On Percy Street Lane from the junction with Back Percy Gardens to the junction with Percy Gardens Cottages. An alternate route is available via Back Percy Gardens, Percy Gardens Lane, Percy Gardens Cottages. The proposed temporary Order is required to lay a new low pressure service and will come into force on 27 May 2025 for a period not exceeding 8 days. WHITLEY BAY
1. On Beach Avenue Lane from the junction with Beach Avenue to the rear of number 3 Beach Avenue. An alternate route is available via Park View Lane, Beach Avenue, Park Road, Holly Avenue, Park View. The proposed temporary Order is required to provide a safe working area while a building is being demolished and will come into force on 19 May 2025 for a period not exceeding 6 days. 2. On Ventnor Gardens from outside numbers 25-32. An alternate route is available via Eastbourne Gardens, Cliftonville Gardens, Marine Avenue Lane. The proposed temporary Order is required for a sewer CCTV survey and will come into force on 12 May 2025 for a period not exceeding 1 day.
