Ar 9 Ebrill 2025, gwnaeth Cyngor Sir Dinas a Sir Caerdydd, wrth arfer ei bwerau dan Adran 14(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y i diwygiwyd) a r holl bwerau galluogi eraill, Orchymyn a fydd yn atal cerbydau rhag defnyddio neu fynd ar hyd Heol Newydd o r gyffordd â Brachdy Lane i r gyffordd â The Highlands.

Mae'r Gorchymyn yn angenrheidiol i hwyluso gwaith ar y briffordd neu gerllaw, a disgwylir iddo fod yn weithredol o ddydd Sadwrn 12 Ebrill 2025 i ddydd Gwener 18 Ebrill 2025 neu nes i r gwaith gael ei gwblhau.

Dim ond ar yr adegau ac i r graddau a nodir ar arwyddion a/neu hysbysiadau sy n cael eu harddangos y bydd y cyfyngiad dan sylw ar waith. Bydd y Gorchymyn yn parhau ar waith am hyd at 18 mis.

Bydd y llwybr amgen i gerbydau yr effeithir arnynt gan y cau uchod ar hyd Rhodfa Tŷ Mawr, Heol Tŷ Mawr a Quarry Dale.

Enw'r Gorchymyn yw Gorchymyn Cyngor Sir Dinas a Sir Caerdydd (Heol Newydd, Caerdydd) (Cau Ffordd Dros Dro) 2025”.

The County Council Of The City And County Of Cardiff
(New Road, Cardiff)
(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025

On 9th April 2025, The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), and of all other enabling powers, made an Order the general effect of which is to prevent vehicles from using or proceeding along New Road from its junction with Brachdy Lane to its junction with The Highlands.

The Order is necessary to facilitate works on or near to the highway and is expected to be in operation from Saturday 12th April 2025 until Friday 18th April 2025 or until works are complete.

The restriction specified will only have the effect at such times and to such extent as indicated by the display of signs and/or notices.

The Order will remain in force for a maximum of 18 months.

The alternative route for vehicles affected by the above closure will be via Ty Mawr Avenue, Ty Mawr Road and Quarry Dale.

The Order is known as “The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff (New Road, Cardiff) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025”.
