Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The East Sussex (Public Bridleway Withyham 65f (Part)) (Temporary Bridleway Closure) Order 2024
To protect public safety during the construction of a slurry lagoon, the Secretary of State has extended the above East Sussex County Council’s Order made on 4 October 2024 under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following bridleway:
Temporary Bridleway Closure
Part of Public Bridleway Withyham 65f will be closed to all users between TQ 4931 4041 and TQ 4907 4039 for a distance of 240 metres. An alternative route will be available to the north of the closed section.
The closure will be in force for 18 months from 15 April 2025, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier, which after this period will require an extension from the Secretary of State, should the bridleway still be unavailable to use.

The East Sussex (U7520 Lower Road, Forest Row)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Lower Road – from the junction with Station Road to the junction with A22 London Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A22 London Road – B2110 Hartfield Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 28 April 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 28 April and 1 May 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6187 Tinkers Lane, Ticehurst)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Tinkers Lane – from the junction with B2087 Dale Hill to the junction with U6187 Boarders Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6188 Cross Lane – B2099 High Street – B2087 Lower Platts, Dale Hill and vice versa.
The Order commences 28 April 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 28 April 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.
