Northumberland, Temporary Road Closures For Fibre Installation
What is happening?
NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) U7029 ROSE HILL GILSLAND U7209 ROSE HILL TO WARDREW FARM GILSLAND (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 16th April 2025 until the 25th April 2025.
Road Closures:
- U7029 Rose Hill, Gilsland for its entire length of 195 metres
- U7029 Rose Hill To Wardrew Farm, Gilsland from its junction with Rose Hill heading northwards for a distance of 1895 metres
It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 16th April 2025 until the 18th April 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 25th April 2025.
There will be no alternative route available for the duration of the TTRO.

The closure has been requested by Viberoptix to install poles for network fibre. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
