What is happening?
A3 TRUNK ROAD – OCKHAM - PAINSHILL
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A3 Trunk Road in the County of Surrey, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because a new phase of works is planned to be executed as part of the Wisley Interchange junction improvement project.
The effect of the Order is to impose a 24-hour 30mph speed limit on the London-bound carriageway of the A3 between a point approximately 645 metres northeast of the centreline of the northern overbridge at Ockham Interchange (B2039) and a point approximately 1021 metres north-east of the centreline of the M25 underbridge at M25 Junction 10 (Wisley Interchange).
This measure is in the interests of road safety while contractors operate a contraflow to build a new side road entrance as part of the ongoing Wisley Interchange junction improvement scheme.
The Order would come into force on 4th May 2024 and continue for a maximum of 18 months.
The provision would commence at 00:01 hours on Monday 6th May and is expected to be in use until November 2025.
The temporary speed limit would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when it is in operation during the works period.
