TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S - PUBLIC
NOTICES OF INTENTION
NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“the Council”) intend, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of road/s as stated below. The Order/s for restriction is/are required for the purpose/s as stated
below. There are exceptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for
cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below.
It is intended that the proposed restriction/s will come into force on the 21st April 2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works which it is proposed to be carried out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is expected the Order will only be operative for the duration as stated in below.
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Ashford Bank, Claverley
Date & Duration: 23rd April 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-Ducting carriageway
Alternative Route : Church Street, Unnamed road North East, B4176, Unnamed road South West, Aston Lane
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4370 between Marshbrook and A49
Date & Duration: 26th April 2025 from 22:30 to 10:05 27th April 2025
Purpose: Road Closure-Network Rail - Removal of level crossing for inspection

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B5026 from Stafford boundary to Bearstone, Woore
Date & Duration: 22nd April 2025 for 3 days between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - For the safety of engineers to access underground structures and carry out civils works

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Chapel Lane, Bagley
Date & Duration: 21st April 2025 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure - New water connection.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South towards Stanwardine in the Fields, Unnamed road North East towards Weston Lullingfields, Unnamed road North, Unnamed road West towards Bagley
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Chapel Street, Wem
Date & Duration: 24th April 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Replace/repair defective frame and cover

Purpose: Road Closure - Pole Test

Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, New water connection.

Purpose: Temporary speed restriction Speed Reduction from 60mph to 40mph to 20mph through site

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Old Coleham, Shrewsbury at the same time the one way order will be rescinded to allow access
