(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in Seghill in the County of Northumberland.
U9719 Front Street from its junction with Mill Lane heading in a north easterly direction for a length of 48 metres.
U9539 Maddison Gardens from its junction with Front Street heading in a southerly direction for a length of 5 metres
The Order is to be effective from the 29th April 2025 until the 6th June 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 29th April 2025 until the 20th May 2025 and that it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 6th June 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being Annitsford Road, Main Street, Barrass Avenue and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northern Gas Networks to carry out gas mains replacement works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
