What is happening?

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
A192 SEATON DELAVAL TO LAVEROCK HALL SEATON DELAVAL
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to temporarily close the A192 Seaton Delaval to Laverock Hall Seaton Delaval in the County of Northumberland.
This Order will hereby further introduce speed restrictions under a convoy working system on the A192 Seaton Delaval to Laverock Hall Seaton Delaval in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 15th April 2025 until the 31st October 2025.
The expected work dates are yet to be confirmed however they will be signposted in advance of commencement of works.
Road Closures:
A192 Seaton Delaval to Laverock Hall, Seaton Delaval from its junction with A192 Laverock Roundabout heading southwards for a distance of 2800 metres.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the B1326, B1505, A1061 and vice-versa.
Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
Speed Restrictions:
Speed restrictions will be in operation under a convoy working system and no vehicular traffic shall travel in excess of 10mph on those lengths of roads described below:-
A192 Seaton Delaval to Laverock Hall, Seaton Delaval from 60mph down to 10mph starting from its junction with A192 Laverock Roundabout heading southwards for a distance of 2800 metres.

The closure and speed restriction have been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out surface dressing and associated works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
