What is happening?

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(COTTON TREE LANE, COLNE, PENDLE BOROUGH) (SPEED HUMPS)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980, Lancashire County Council propose to introduce road humps in the following locations:

1) Cotton Tree Lane, Colne, from a point 36.9 metres north west of its junction with the centreline of Boulview Terrace for a distance of 3 metres in a north westerly direction;
2) Cotton Tree Lane, Colne, from a point 31.5 metres south east of its junction with the centreline of Boulview Terrace for a distance of 3 metres in a south easterly direction;
3) Cotton Tree Lane, Colne, from a point 221.8 metres north west of its junction with the centreline of Lambeth Street for a distance of 3 metres in a north westerly direction;
4) Cotton Tree Lane, Colne, from a point 150.7 metres north west of its junction with the centreline of Lambeth Street for a distance of 3 metres in a north westerly direction;
5) Cotton Tree Lane, Colne, from a point 78.7 metres west of its junction with the centreline of Lambeth Street for a distance of 3 metres in a westerly direction;
6) Cotton Tree Lane, Colne, from a point 7.2 metres west of its junction with the centreline of Lambeth Street for a distance of 3 metres in a westerly direction;
7) Cotton Tree Lane, Colne, from a point 61.3 metres east of its junction with the centreline of Lambeth Street for a distance of 3 metres in an easterly direction;
8) Cotton Tree Lane, Colne, from a point 132.4 metres east of its junction with the centreline of Lambeth Street for a distance of 3 metres in an easterly direction.

The speed humps will have a maximum height not exceeding 75mm.

A copy of the relevant notice and plan, indicating the proposal may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of the Pendle Borough Council, No1 Market Street, Nelson, Lancashire, BB9 9LU, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
