A192 HORTON TO PLESSEY CHECKS, CRAMLINGTON
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to temporarily close the A192 Horton to Plessey Checks, Cramlington from its junction with the A1068 to its junction with the A189 in the County of Northumberland.
This Order will hereby further introduce speed restrictions under a convoy working system on the A192 Horton to Plessey Checks, Cramlington from its junction with the A1068 to its junction with the A189.
The road will be closed in short sections on those lengths of road described below and will be closed at different times. The speed restrictions detailed below will further be closed at different times.
The Order is to be effective from the 15th April 2025 until the 31st October 2025.
The expected work dates are yet to be confirmed however they will be signposted in advance of commencement of the works.
Road Closures:
A192 Horton to Plessey Checks, Cramlington from its junction with A192 Plessey Checks heading eastwards for a distance of 1340 metres.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the A1068, U9557 and A1171.
A192 Horton to Plessey Checks, Cramlington from 45 metres north westwards of its junction with Crow Hall Lane heading westwards for a distance of 1330 metres.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the A1171, C420, A1172 and A1068.
A192 Horton to Plessey Checks, Cramlington from 60 metres south eastwards of its junction with West Hartford Business Park heading eastwards for a distance of 980 metres.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the A1171, Northumbrian Road, C420, A1061 and A189.
A192 Horton to Plessey Checks, Cramlington from its junction with A189 Spine Road Moor Farm to Kitty Brewster Bridge heading westwards for a distance of 1795 metres.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the A189, B1505, A193, A1068 and A192.
A192 Horton to Plessey Checks, Cramlington from its southwards junction with B1505 Albion Terrace to Bog Houses heading westwards for a distance of 315 metres.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the B1505, A193, A1068 and A192.
Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes and where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
Speed Restrictions
Speed restrictions will be in operation under a convoy working system and no vehicular traffic shall travel in excess of 10mph on those lengths of roads described below:-
A192 Horton to Plessey Checks, Cramlington from 70mph down to 10mph starting from its junction with A192 Plessey Checks heading eastwards for a distance of 1340 metres.
A192 Horton to Plessey Checks, Cramlington from 70mph down to 10mph starting from 45 metres north westwards of its junction with Crow Hall Lane heading westwards for a distance of 1330 metres.
A192 Horton to Plessey Checks, Cramlington from 40mph down to 10mph starting from 60 metres south eastwards of its junction with West Hartford Business Park heading eastwards for a distance of 980 metres.
A192 Horton to Plessey Checks, Cramlington from 70mph down to 10 mph starting from its junction with A189 Spine Road Moor Farm to Kitty Brewster Bridge heading westwards for a distance of 255 metres.
A192 Horton to Plessey Checks, Cramlington from 40mph to 10 mph starting from 255 metres westwards from its junction with A189 Spine Road Moor Farm to Kitty Brewster Bridge heading westwards for a distance of 1540 metres.
A192 Horton to Plessey Checks, Cramlington from 40mph to 10mph starting from its southwards junction with B1505 Albion Terrace to Bog Houses heading westwards for a distance of 315 metres.

The road closures and speed restrictions have been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out surface dressing and associated works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
