Mabel Grove And Rutland Road - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Trial Pit Inspection Works

What is happening?

The Nottinghamshire County Council

(Mabel Grove And Rutland Road, West Bridgford) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2025 (R25-095) 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at West Bridgford in the Borough of Rushcliffe 

The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road

a. Mabel Grove, West Bridgford - From its junction with Radcliffe Road in a south westerly direction for 60 metres.

b. Rutland Road, West Bridgford - From its junction with Radcliffe Road in a north easterly direction for 50 metres

2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:

Mabel Grove, West Bridgford From 09:30 hours until 15:00 hours only From Tuesday 22nd April until Friday 25th April 2025 inclusive Rutland Road, West Bridgford From 09:30 hours until 15:00 hours only From Monday 28th April until Friday 2nd May 2025 inclusive

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: 

Mabel Grove, West Bridgford Radcliffe Road - Abbey Road - Violet Road - Maple Grove Road and vice versa

Rutland Road, West Bridgford Radcliffe Road - Regatta Way - Adbolton Lane - Trent Boulevard - Lady Bay Road and vice versa

The Order will come into force on 22nd April 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. 

The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out trial pit inspection works
