What is happening?

THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL

(TRAFFIC REGULATION: RESTRICTIONS ON WAITING,

LOADING AND UNLOADING, STOPPING AND PARKING

PLACES) (VARIATION NO. _) ORDER 202_- TRO/24/22

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended to: 1. Replace a daytime waiting restriction with a garage services bay that operates 8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri on Gordon St; 2. Replace a 24-hr waiting restriction and a daytime waiting restriction by extending existing permit bays that operate 8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri, and replace a daytime waiting restriction with a waiting restriction that operates 24-hrs of each day on Wishaw Ter; 3. Introduce waiting restrictions that operate 24hrs of each day and introduce permit bays that operate 8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri on Westfield Ct and Moat Dr; 4. Change a paid bay that operates 8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri from a maximum stay of 9 hrs where the parking charge is £1.00 for 1 hr, £2.00 for 2 hrs, £3.00 for 3 hrs, £4.00 for 4 hrs, £5.00 for 5 hrs, £6.00 for 6hrs, £7.00 for 7hrs, £8.00 for 8hrs and £10.20 for 9hrs with a minimum charge of £0.20 for a period of 12 mins, to a maximum stay of 2 hrs where the parking charge is £3.80 per hr with a minimum charge of £0.20 for a period of 3 mins on Stewart Ter (Gorgie). 5. Remove a daytime waiting restriction and introduce a permit bay that operates 8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri on Chesser Cres; 6. Replace a permit bay by extending a waiting restriction that operates 8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri on Maritime St; and 7. Replace 24-hr waiting restrictions by extending shared use bays that operate 8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri on Giles St. Details of the draft Order and related documents, including our privacy notice, can be viewed online at consultation.appyway. com/edinburgh-city, from 11/04/2025 to 06/05/2025 by following the link to “Proposals in consultation” under reference TRO/24/02 or at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk. Documents can also be viewed at Waverley Court Reception, 4 East Market St, Edinburgh, EH8 8BG between 9:30am & 3:30pm Mon-Fri during the same period. Objectors must complete the form found via the “Proposals in consultation” link referred to above, or state their reasons in writing quoting reference TRO/24/02 to Traffic Orders at the above address, not later than 06/05/2025. Objections should state the name and address of the objector.
