TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATHS FLY 44, DAW 81 AND DAW 84 (AWRE PARISH) (LYDNEY TOWN) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council intend to make an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of the Public Footpaths as defined in the schedule below:

SCHEDULE

Part of Public Footpath FLY 44 from its junction with Public Footpath FLY 43 extending in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 1640 metres to its junction with FLY 50.

Part of Public Footpath DAW 81 from its junction with road number C24 road from junction at Gurshill Farm to Junction at Chandlers extending in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 1200 metres to its junction with DAW 82
.
Part of Public Footpath DAW 84 from its junction with DAW 82 extending in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 620 metres and then continuing in a north westerly direction for approximately 250 metres to its junction with Class 5 road Pleasant View.

The Public Footpaths fall within the Parish of Awre and the Town of Lydney in the Forest of Dean District, in the County of Gloucestershire.

The closure is necessary to protect the public while nailing and netting of railway embankments are completed.

The order will come into force on 19th April 2025 and it is anticipated that the Public Footpaths will remain closed until 19th October 2025. This Order can authorises the closure for a period of up to six months. After this date if the closure is still required it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C55 ROAD FROM JUNCTION AT COURT ORCHARD TO JUNCTION WITH MARCLE ROAD (KEMPLEY PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C55 Road from junction at Court Orchard to junction with Marcle Road for a distance of approximately 1500 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for pole replacement works.

The said road is expected to be closed on 28th April 2025 only or until the works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS (VARIOUS WARDS AND PARISHES) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below.

SCHEDULE

The reason for the closures and restrictions is for carriageway resurfacing works.

There will be no waiting, stopping, loading or unloading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.

The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted, during various times, on a rolling programme commencing 1st May 2025 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order can permit the closure and restriction of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 30th September 2025

TEMPORARY CLOSURE (VARIOUS ROADS) (DYMOCK PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below.

Schedule

The reason for the said closure is for Ash Dieback works.

The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted, during various times, on a rolling programme commencing 28th April 2025 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order can permit the closure and restriction of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 16th May 2025.

Alternative Route – as signed on site. Pedestrian access to premises on or next to the road, and emergency access, will be maintained.

NOTICE OF MAKING OF A PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH EHM 3 (PART)) (PARISH OF HIGHNAM) DIVERSION ORDER 2025

The above Order made on 27th March 2025 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, and Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, if confirmed, will divert the length of public footpath described in Part 1 of the Schedule hereto to a line described in Part 2. A copy of the Order and plan may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Gloucestershire County Council, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 2TG and Tewkesbury Borough Council, Public Services Centre, Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, GL20 5TT. Copies of the Order and Order Plan may be obtained free of charge by emailing prow@gloucestershire.gov.uk (please quote reference EHM3/KM).

Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Principal Public Rights of Way Officer, Gloucestershire County Council, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 2TG (email: prow@gloucestershire.gov.uk) not later than 8th May 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made. (Please quote reference EHM3/KM).

Please note that objections/representations cannot be treated as confidential and may come into the public domain. Copies of any objections or representations received may be disclosed to interested parties, including the Planning Inspectorate where the case is referred to it for determination. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Gloucestershire County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations and objections that have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

SCHEDULE
PART 1 Description of Path to be extinguished
That length of footpath EHM3 that runs from point A at OSGR SO7970/2082 in a northwesterly direction for 105 metres to point E at OSGR SO7962/2088 and of undefined width.

PART 2 Description of new path
A length of footpath that runs from point A in a westerly direction for 57metres and a northerly direction for 30 metres to point G at SO7964/2085 and north westerly direction for 26 metres to point I at SO7962/2086 and with a width of 2.5 metres, with the exception of point H where the width will be 1.6 metres.
