What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE C579 LION ROAD, UPPER ROSE LANE, LOWER ROSE LANE AND ROSE LANE, WORTHAM, PALGRAVE AND DISS

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads

? C579 Lion Road, Wortham

? C579 Lion Road, Palgrave

? C579 Upper Rose Lane, Palgrave

? C579 Lower Rose Lane, Palgrave

? C579 Rose Lane, Diss

This is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1066, the B1077, the A143 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/04/2025 - 26/04/2025 from 7pm - 5am. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C246 LOW STREET, BENHALL

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C246 Low Street, Benhall from 459 metres west of the junction with Silverlace Green for 140 metres westbound to facilitate a new water main. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1119, the A12 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/04/2025 - 09/05/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A137 CHANCERY ROAD AND WEST END ROAD AND THE B1075 PRINCES STREET, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

? The A137 Chancery Road, Ipswich from Princes Street to West End Road

? The A137 West End Road, Ipswich from Chancery Road for 127 metres westbound to the car park entrance.

? The B1075 Princes Street, Ipswich from Burrell Road to Civic Drive

This is to facilitate crowd safety and disorder prevention during a football match. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Burrell Road, Stoke Street, Bridge Street, Greyfriars Road, Franciscan Way, Civic Drive, Handford Road, Ranelagh Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 20/04/2025 from 12 midday - 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U5955 GROVE LANE, WETHERDEN

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U5955 Grove Lane, Wetherden from 217 metres northwest of the junction with Upper Town for 350 metres northbound to facilitate underground cabling. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Upper Town, Wetherden Road, Great Ashfield, Daisy Green, School Road, Elmswell Road, Ashfield Road, Grove Lane, Elmswell and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/04/2025 - 02/05/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
