What is happening?

The East Sussex (U5666 Mill Lane, Glynde)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Mill Lane – from the junction with C113 Station Road to the junction with A27 Eastbourne Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A27(T) Eastbourne Road – C113 Station Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 29 April 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 29 April and 1 May 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (A295 High Street, Hailsham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
High Street – from the junction with U7208 Vicarage Lane to the junction with A295 Market Square. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7208 Vicarage Lane, Vicarage Road – C718 Market Square.
The Order commences 28 April 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 28 April and 2 May 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6276 Padgham Lane, Warbleton)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Padgham Lane – from the junction with C277 Bluekiln Road to the junction with U6276 Stream Hill. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6276 Stream Hill, The Street – B2096 Battle Road, Woods Corner – C18 South Lane – C277 Bluekiln Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 29 April 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 29 April 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Back Lane – from the junction with B2102 High Street to the junction with C329 Burnt Oak Lane. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C329 Burnt Oak Lane – C208 Furnace Lane – A267 Little London Road, Cross in Hand Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 1 May 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 1 May 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C26 Eastbourne Road, Ridgewood, Uckfield)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow Walker Construction UK Ltd to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Eastbourne Road – from the junction with U7516 New Road to the Fernley Park roundabout.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C58 Lewes Road – A22 Uckfield bypass – C26 Eastbourne Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 30 April 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 30 April and 2 May 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7563 Swife Lane, Broad Oak,
Heathfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Swife Lane – from the junction with C211 Witherenden Road to the junction with A265 Burwash Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A265 Burwash Road, Heathfield Road – C214 Swing Gate Hill, Witherenden Hill – C211 Waterloo Road, Witherenden Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 28 April 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 28 and 30 April 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Chiddingly Road – from the junction with A267 Horam Road to the junction with C330 Pick Hill.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C330 Pick Hill, Gun Hill, Thunders Hill, Nash Street – A22 The Dicker – A267 New North Street, North Street, Eastbourne Road, Horam Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 30 April 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 30 April and 2 May 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

Nutley/Piltdown) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Nether Lane/Down Street – from the junction with A272 Batts Bridge Road to the junction with A22 High Street.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A22 High Street, Fords Green Road, Courtlands Road, Horney Common Road, Maresfield bypass – A272 Batts Bridge Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 29 April 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 29 and 30 April 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Coggins Mill Lane – from the junction with C14 Fletching Street to the junction with C568 Lake Street. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C14 Fletching Street, Tunbridge Wells Road – A267 Argos Hill, Tunbridge Wells Road – C568 Lake Street and vice versa.
The Order commences 28 April 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 28 April and 2 May 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Nevill Road – from outside the substation for its entire length.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 15 April 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 15 April 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
The Street – from the junction with C7 Newhaven Road to the junction with U5051 South Farm Close. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 17 April 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 17 and 21 April 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Pound Green Lane – from the junction with U7864 Nan Tucks Lane to the junction with U7406 Rosers Common.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7406 Rosers Common – U7864 Nan Tucks Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 14 April 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 14 and 16 April 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Blatchington Hill – from the junction with U5446 Sutton Drove to the junction with U5440 Homefield Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U5522 Blatchington Hill – U5499 Belgrave Road – U5497 Wilmington Road, Grosvenor Road – A259 Claremont Road, Station Approach, Clinton Place, Sutton Park Road – U5445 Avondale Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 15 April 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 15 and 16 April 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Streat Lane – from the junction with U5998 Hemsleys Lane to the junction with P5817 Ashurst Farm Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U5401 Streat Lane – C71 Middleton Common Lane, Folders Lane East – B2112 Common Lane, North End, High Street – B2116 Lewes Road – U5401 Streat Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 14 April 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 14 and 16 April 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Muddles Green – from the junction with C114 Muddles Green to the junction with U7673 Willetts Field. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7675 Muddles Green, The Street, Highlands Lane – U7676 Whitesmith Lane – A22 Whitesmith, Holmes Hill, Golden Cross – C114 Burgh Hill Road, Muddles Green and vice versa.
The Order commences 15 April 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 15 and 18 April 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
The Broyle – from the junction with B2124 Laughton Road to the junction with U7403 Harveys Lane. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2124 Laughton Road, Lewes Road – A22 Holmes Hill, Whitesmith, South Street, East Hoathly bypass, The Shaw roundabout, Eastbourne Road – B2192 Lewes Road, Terrible Down, The Broyle and vice versa.
The Order commences 14 April 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs on 14 and 15 April 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Framfield Road – from the junction with U7405 School Lane to the junction with U7404 Pump Lane. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2102 Blackboys Road, The Street, Hammonds Green, Bird in Eye Hill, Framfield Road, New Town, Bell Lane, Bell Farm Road – A22 Uckfield bypass, Eastbourne Road – B2192 Heathfield Road, Lewes Road – B2102 High Street, Blackboys Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 14 April 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs on 14 and 15 April 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

Newhaven) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow Plowman Craven Limited to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;
Temporary Road Closures
High Street – from the junction with U5275 Bridge Street to the junction with U5298 Meeching Road.
Diversion via U5298 Meeching Road – A259 South Way, Lewes Road, North Way, South Way.
Bridge Street – from the junction with A259 South Way to the junction with A259 North Way.
Diversion via A259 South Way, Lewes Road, North Way, South Way.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 14 April 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs between 14 and 16 April 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.
