Evesham Road and Beaufort Road (D1203) Reigate
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 09 April 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Evesham Road (D1203) Reigate as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between property No.20 and No.22 Evesham Road to its junction with (D1203) Beaufort Road; (b) Beaufort Road (D1203) Reigate as extends from its junction with (D1203) Evesham Road to its junction with (D1203) Saxon Way.

Alternative Route: (1) Evesham Road, Evesham Road North, South Albert Road, Nutley Lane, Upper West Street, (A25) London Road, (A25) Castlefield Road, (A25) Church Street, (A25) High Street, (A25) West Street, and Evesham Road; (2) Beaufort Road, Nutley Lane, South Albert Road, Evesham Road North, and Evesham Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 6 weeks, in 2 phases, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 21 April 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2) (a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Brickhouse Lane (D373) Newchapel
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 09 April 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Brickhouse Lane (D373) Newchapel as extends from its junction with (X34072) Clay Lane to its junction with (D374) Hare Lane.

Alternative Route: Brickhouse Lane, Byers Lane, (A22) Eastbourne Road, (B2028) West Park Road, Bones Lane, and Brickhouse Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate water utility works for, or on behalf of SES Water.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 April 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Farleigh Road (D1352) Warlingham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 09 April 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Farleigh Road (D1352) Warlingham.

This Order is required to facilitate lead replacement works for, or on behalf of SES Water.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 11 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 April 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates, if required, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

Brighton Road (A217) Banstead
Temporary Prohibition of Left Turn Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles that are travelling northbound on the slip road of Brighton Road (A217) Banstead from turning left into (A2022) Fir Tree Road.

Alternative Route: (A217) Brighton Road.

This Temporary Traffic Order is required to facilitate installation of fire hydrant chamber works and/or any other associated works to be carried out for, or on behalf of SES Water.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 10am and 4pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 May 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary prohibition will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

The above restriction shall not apply to vehicles being used in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restrictions or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.

Norwood Hill Road (C57) Charlwood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Norwood Hill Road (C57) Charlwood which extends from its junction with Collendean Lane (D330) to its junction with Old Farm Close (X8232).

Alternative Route – Smalls Hill Road (C57), Tapners Road (C57), Bunce Common Road (C58), Newdigate Road (C59), Clayhill Road (C59), Broad Lane (C59), Partridge Lane (C60), Blanks Lane (C61), Stan Hill (C61) and Norwood Hill Road (C57) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out pole testing works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 30 April 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Headley Road (C55) Leatherhead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No. 2) 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;

(a) Headley Road (C55) Leatherhead which extends from its junction with Reigate Road (B2033) to the southwestern property boundary line of “Larchwood”, and; (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Headley Road (C55) Leatherhead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in Part (a) of this Notice.

Alternative Route – Reigate Road (B2033), By-Pass Road (A24) and Headley Road (C55) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow Road Traffic Management Ltd to carry out replacement of decayed telegraph pole, which is anticipated to be completed within 2 days, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 28 April 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

D330 Norwood Hill, Charlwood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: – 

1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D330 Norwood Hill, Charlwood.

2. Suspend the “Surrey County Council Various Roads in Mole Valley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2023” insofar as affects D330 Norwood Hill, Charlwood.

3. Suspend the “Surrey County Council C57 Norwood Hill, Charlwood Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” in its entirety.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Sutten and East Surrey Water to carry out service pipe replacement and/or connection and/or maintenance works in D330 Norwood Hill, Charlwood outside “Greenstead Hall Farm”.

These works are anticipated to be carried out within 3 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 May 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists and equestrians, will be maintained at all times.

Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained via the vehicular diversion route: – Smalls Hill Road, Tapners Road, Bunce Common Road, Newdigate Road, Clayhill Road, Broad Lane, Partridge Lane, Blanks Lane, Stan Hill and Norwood Hill Road.

Grovehill Road (D1266) Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting in that length of Grovehill Road (D1266) Redhill as it extends from the eastern boundary of the property known as “21 Grovehill Road” to the western boundary of the property known as “59 Grovehill Road”.

This Order is required to enable SGN to install a new gas connection and associated works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 8.00am and 4.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 5 May 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Rowplatt Lane (D371) Felbridge
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Rowplatt Lane (D371) Felbridge as extends from its junction with Copthorne Road (A264) and its junction with Tithe Orchard (X1525).

Alternative route – Crawley Down Road and A264 (Copthorne Road), or this route in reverse.

The Order is required to allow Entity Connect Ltd to facilitate a new electrical and gas connection and all associated works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 18 days during the hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 5 May 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

D567 Sangers Drive, Horley (townpath)
Public Footpath No.384 (Horley)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrians and/or other traffic proceeding on foot or by any means from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D567 Sangers Drive, Horley (townpath), otherwise known as Public Footpath No.384 (Horley).

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway reconstruction works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 6 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 April 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. No sole means of access to any premises will be affected.

There is no alternative route available for this closure.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 28 April 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

1. that length of D265 Lower Road, Fetcham/Bookham/Effingham which extends from its junction with C43 The Street to its junction with D2513 The Ridgeway.

Alternative Route – C43 The Street, A246 Guildford Road, A246 Leatherhead Road, B2122 Guildford Road and D2513 The Ridgeway;

2. that length of D301 Blackbrook Road, North Holmwood/South Holmwood which extends from its junction with the northern arm of D306 Red Lane to its junction with D300 Mill Road.

Alternative Route – D300 Mill Road, A24 Horsham Road, C251 Spook Hill, D2837 Inholms Lane and D301 Blackbrook Road.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice; and (b) revoke “Surrey County Council Various Roads in Tandridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2023” only insofar as it relates to the entire length of Halliloo Valley Road, Woldingham .

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 28 April 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

7. that length of D355 Three Arch Road, Redhill which extends from its junction with A23 Horley Road to its junction with the circulatory carriageway comprised within the junctions of D355 Three Arch Road, D355 Canada Avenue and D355 Royal Earlswood Park.

Footpath No. 81 (Limpsfield)
Public Path Diversion Order 2025

The above order, made on 1 April 2025 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 19 81 will if confirmed, divert Footpath 81 (Limpsfield) running from OS Grid Ref. 540557 153549 in a southerly direction for 76 metres, to a line running in a south easterly turning to southerly turning to south westerly direction for 118 metres, as shown on the order map.

A copy of the Order and the Order Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge by appointment (Tel. 0300 200 1003) at Surrey County Council Offices, Whitebeam Lodge, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford (between 10.00am and 4.00pm from Monday to Friday) and at Tandridge District Council Offices, Station Road East, Oxted, RH8 0BT, during normal office hours and at Oxted Library, Gresham Road, Oxted, RH8 0BQ, during opening hours.

A copy of the Order and map may be purchased from the County Council at a cost of £4.00.

Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to Countryside Access quoting reference DW/AW/3/1/21 at Surrey County Council, Whitebeam Lodge, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford GU4 7BQ or by mail to rightsofway@surreycc.gov.uk by 12 May 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made, are withdrawn, Surrey County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations, which have not been withdrawn, will be sent with the Order.
