Reston: Main Street - Temporary Closing Order

What is happening?

The Scottish Borders Council (Main Street, Reston)

(MAIN STREET, RESTON)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025

(Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 18 April 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 25 April 2025 – 24 hour closure. The Order is required for Scottish Water works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Main Street, Reston at Skye House.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the B6438, A6112, A1 and B6438 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. A map showing the restriction and alternative routes can be seen at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk.
