Hawkshead - Temporary Road Closure due to Utility Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL

(C5026 HAWKSHEAD) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the C5026 Hawkshead, from a point approx. 330m southwest of its junction with North Lonsdale Road, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 80m.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the B5286 (Clappersgate), A593, A591 (Windermere), A592 (Newby Bridge), A590 and the unrestricted sections of the C5026.

The Order will come into operation on 28th April 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 2 nights and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
