What is happening?

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 -Section 14 

The County Of Devon (Temporary Restriction) 

(Okehampton Road, Exeter) Order 2025 Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic 

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 12/5/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 23/5/25. 

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads.

Roads affected: Okehampton Road & Buddle Lane, Exeter, Footway, Carriageway, 0/S Redhills House Exwick Road - 0/S 173 Okehampton Road. 

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - Anti Clockwise Okehampton Road, Buddle Lane, Cowick Street, Okehampton Street, Okehampton Road. 

Or Clockwise - Okehampton Road, Okehampton Street, Road Over Exe Bridge North, Edmund Street, Road Over Exe Bridge South, Alphington Street, Cowick Street, Buddle Lane, Okehampton Road.
 
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable GAS MAINS REPLACEMENT WORKS.

(Silverton Footpath 5, Silverton) (No. 2) Order 2025 Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrians 

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order. From 3/4/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 4/4/25. No person shall proceed on the sections of Affected Paths except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to those lengths of paths. 

Roads affected: SILVERTON FOOTPATH 5, SILVERTON, (AT THE LEVEL CROSSING). 

There Is No Alternative Route. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: URGENT CROSSING UPGRADE REQUIRED TO INCLUDE NEW APPROACHES, STEPS, SIGNAGE TO ENSURE SAFETY OF USERS.
