Temporary Closure of Minehead Road and Bishops Lydeard Bypass

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Minehead Road - from the junction with Deane Cross Roundabout, north-westwards incorporating Bishops Lydeard Bypass to the junction with Bishops Lydeard Bypass Roundabout. A total distance of 1326 metres. This Order will enable Kiely Bros to carry out pre-surface dressing patching works on behalf of Somerset Highways. Solid diamond symbolization to be used on diversion route and will not clash with any other Kiely Bros works within the area.

The Order becomes effective on 10th April 2025 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 14th April 2025 and last until 17th April 2025 between the hours of 18:30 - 23:00 for a total of 4 days.
