BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATHS CL3/29, MOORLEDGE LANE, CHEW MAGNA) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024
Notice is given that the order made by Bath and North East Somerset Council on 24th October 2024 will be continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of his powers under section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order will continue in force until the necessary remedial works have been completed or until 6 November 2026, whichever is the earlier.
The effect of which will be to continue to close the section of Public Footpath CL3/29 commencing from the junction with Public Byway CL3/23 and Public Footpath CL3/31 at ST58576268 and proceeding in a generally S direction for approx 527m to the junction with Moorledge Lane at ST58616219.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public: namely a newly-formed watercourse, of a sufficient depth and width to cause such a danger, particularly after heavy rain.
