Woodlands Avenue (D3677) West Byfleet
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Woodlands Avenue (D3677) West Byfleet as extends from its junction with (A245) Sheerwater Road to a point in line with the common boundary between No. 76 and No. 74 Woodlands Avenue. Alternative Route – Woodlands Avenue, Hollies Avenue, and A245 Sheerwater Road or this same route in reverse; and

(b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Woodlands Avenue (D3677) West Byfleet Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety. This Order, which will commence on 05 May 2025 for a period of 18 months is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of Surrey County Council, including but not limited to: drainage improvement works and/or rain garden project installation works and/or any other associated works. Works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over a period of 12 weeks. Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. Vehicular access for residents and businesses will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.

North Road (D3665) Woking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of North Road (D3665) Woking which extends from its junction with Maybury Road (C143) to the northeastern property boundary line of “3 North Road”.

Alternative Route – Walton Road (C143), Kings Road (D3666) and Maybury Road (C143) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow UKPN to carry out removing & installing underground service cables works, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 8:00am and 11:59pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 28 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route including emergency vehicles and pedestrian diversion in place for pedestrians to follow.

D3680 Saunders Lane and D3781 Goose Lane, Woking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads as specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice (Note – the footway will also be closed however pedestrian access will be maintained via a pedestrian walkway on the carriageway); and (b) revoke “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Woking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023” insofar as it relates to Saunders Lane and Goose Lane only. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway reconstruction/ carriageway surfacing and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 May 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

Schedule

1. the entire length of D3680 Saunders Lane, Woking. Alternative Route – Blackhorse Road and Smarts Heath Road;
2. the entire length of the north-eastern and north-western arm of D3781 Goose Lane, Woking at its junction with Saunders Lane. Alternative Route – Goose Lane and Smarts Heath Road.

Bonsey Lane (D3698) Woking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 09 April 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Bonsey Lane (D3698) Woking. This Order is required to facilitate replacement telecom pole works for, or on behalf of Morrison Telecom Services Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.

D3774 Rutson Road, Byfleet
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 9 April 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D3774 Rutson Road, Byfleet. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate fine milling works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 14 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Alternative Route – D3775 Godley Road, D3765 Church Road, D3778 Sanway Road and D3778 Celtic Road.
