Oldfield Road And Gaythorn Street - Temporary Road Closure And Temporary One Way Traffic
What is happening?
The Council of the City of Salford intends to make the following Order in no less than 7 days under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
SALFORD CITY COUNCIL
(OLDFIELD ROAD AND GAYTHORN STREET) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND TEMPORARY ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
The Order will introduce:
ONE WAY TRAFFIC:
Oldfield Road: in a southbound direction from the junction of Chapel Street for a distance of 55 metres.
ROAD CLOSURE:
Gaythorn Street: for its entire length.
The Order is necessary for essential works to be done.
Diversion routes will be via- A5066 Oldfield Road - Liverpool Street - A5063 Albion Way - A6 Crescent.
The Order is intended to come into operation on 28th April 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier.
The works are expected to be completed by Sunday 6th July 2025. The closures will be in place 24 hours a day.
A copy of the proposed Order and plan of the area may be examined at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm inclusive.
