Petersfield - Temporary Road Closures due to Level Crossing Works
What is happening?
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES – KINGSFERNSDEN LANE, RESERVOIR LANE AND LONG ROAD, PETERSFIELD, EAST HAMPSHIRE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROADS TO BE CLOSED:
Reservoir Lane and Kingsfernsden Lane between its junction with Tilmore Gardens and a point approximately 70 Metres South-East of its junction with Long Road.
Long Road between its junction with Kingsfernsden Lane and a point approximately 120 Metres South-West of its junction with School Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: School Lane, Farnham Road, Inmans Lane, A272, B2070
DURATION OF ORDER: from 21st April 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 2 nights, working between the hours 23:00 – 05:00).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Network Rail to carry out yearly level crossing compliance maintenance. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: nicola.welsh@centuriontraffic.com
Network Rail will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
