What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
SQUIRE LANE, BRIDLINGTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
Squire Lane, Bridlington from outside number 10 to the
junction of High Street commencing 28 April 2025
at 08.00 hours to allow for new gas services to be
installed. The road closure is necessary to enable the
works to be carried out in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for
18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
completed by 8 May 2025 at 17.00 hours.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via High Street, Gordon Road, South
Back Lane and Squire Lane. The diversion route will
be signed at the time of closure. The road will be
closed to all traffic but access will be maintained for
emergency vehicles, residents and pedestrians.
