PROPOSED CHANGES TO CAR PARKING CHARGES WITHIN THE FALKIRK COUNCIL AREA

Falkirk Council hereby gives notice under The Local Authorities’ Variation of Charges at Off-street and Designated Parking Places (Notice Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1997 and under Sections 35C and 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that it proposes to alter charges set under The Falkirk Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Decriminalised Parking Enforcement and Consolidation) Order 2018 and under The Falkirk Council (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Decriminalised Parking Enforcement and Consolidation) Order 2018 respectively for parking off-street and on-street in accordance with the undernoted schedule of charges. The altered charges will come into effect from 08.45am on Tuesday 06 May 2025.

The Council proposes to make the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

3. The general effect of the Order will be to prohibit waiting on Wallace Street and St John’s Avenue, Falkirk.

(A9 AND A904 OUTSIDE HELIX PARK AND FALKIRK STADIUM, FALKIRK)
(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE)
(NO.TTRO/1933) ORDER 2025

The Council has made the above named Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, that the footway on the northside of the A904 adjacent to Forth Valley College to the pedestrian crossing to the Helix Park on the west side of the A9, the footway on the southside of the A904 from Alexander Avenue to Stadium Roundabout on the westside of the A9, and the footway on the northside of the A904 from Westfield Roundabout to West Mains Road will all be temporarily closed from 06.00 hours on 16/04/25 until 18.00 hours on 30/10/26, Falkirk Council being satisfied that the execution of the works requires this duration for completion. The footway closure is necessary for public safety reasons during road improvement works.

(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE)
(NO.TTRO/1934) ORDER 2025

The Council has made the above named Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, that the footway on the south side of the A9 Laurieston Bypass, from Grandsable Road to the access to Klondyke Garden Centre, will be temporarily closed from 06.00 hours on 28/04/25 until 18.00 hours on 02/05/25, Falkirk Council being satisfied that the execution of the works requires this duration for completion. The footway closure is necessary for public safety reasons during road improvement works.

The Council has made the above named Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, that the footway on the north side of the A9 Laurieston Bypass, opposite Klondyke Garden Centre junction, will be temporarily closed from 06.00 hours on 01/05/25 until 18.00 hours on 09/05/25, Falkirk Council being satisfied that the execution of the works requires this duration for completion. The footway closure is necessary for public safety reasons during road improvement works.

(GRANDSABLE ROAD NORTHBOUND)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
(NO.TTRO/1936) ORDER 2025

The Council has made the above named Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily prohibit vehicles on Grandsable Road northbound from 18.00 hours to 22.00 hours, on consecutive dates, from 28/04/25 to 30/04/25 (inclusive). The prohibition is to allow for the installation of drainage and pedestrian guard railing in a safe manner.
