U6106 OSWALD ROAD MORPETH
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in Morpeth in the County of Northumberland:
U6106 Thorpe Avenue from its junction with Dark Lane heading north for a distance of 187 metres.
U6106 Morrison Road in its entirety.
U6106 Oswald Road from its junction with Thorpe Avenue for a distance of 57 metres to its junction with Fenwick Grove.
The Order is to be effective from the 6th May 2025 until the 6th November 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 6th May 2025 until the 27th May 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 6th November 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being U6106 Hood Street, U6106 Howard Road, B1337 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council for carriageway resurfacing and associated works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
