What is happening?

CITY OF DONCASTER COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS DONCASTER)
SPEED LIMITS (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2011
(AMENDMENT NO.) ORDER 2025


Notice is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council propose to make an Order under the provisions of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers
The effect of the order will be to:
(i) Revoke the following items from Schedule 1.01 of the Order 20MPH Speed Limit:-
Main Street which extends from the centre line of New Lane in a north easterly direction to a point 17m east of the
eastern kerbline of Field House Road
New Lane which extends from the northern kerbline of Main Street for a distance of 45 metres in a north
westerly direction
(ii) Revoke the following items from Schedule 2.01 of the Order 30MPH Speed Limit:-
That length of Spring Lane at Sprotbrough which extends from a point 410 metres north of its junction with
Doncaster Road for a distance of 128 metres in a north westerly direction
That length of Thorpe Lane at Sprotbrough from its junction with Melton Road for a distance of 137 metres
in a southerly direction
(iii) Include the following items in Schedule 1.01 of the Order 20 MPH Speed Limit:-

NEWTON LANE from its junction with Sprotbrough Road for a distance of 122 metres in a south easterly direction
to the rail bridge
That length of SPRING LANE at Sprotbrough which extends from its junction with Melton Road for a distance of
560 metres in a generally northerly direction
A copy of the proposed Order together with a map showing the restricted roads and a statement of the Councils
reasons for proposing to make the Order may be examined at the Council Office, Civic Office, Waterdale
Doncaster between the hours of 9 am and 4.30 pm or on the Doncaster Council Website via the following link
