What is happening?

NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNCIL

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Dishforth Road, Copt Hewic, Order 2025 no.107. Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) (As Amended). We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Dishforth Road, Copt Hewick due to New Installation of 200mm UPVC Water Main works/potential danger to the public. It is envisaged that the restriction will be in force from 14/04/25 until 26/06/25 inclusive, however the maximum duration of this Order will be for 14/04/25 to 10/08/25. The closure period will only apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs & a local alternative route will also be signed on site where appropriate. We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using the following streets due to Surface Dressing. Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic, Valley Drive, Harrogate, Order 2025 No 129, Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14(1) (As Amended). We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Valley Drive, Harrogate due to Balfour Beatty install ducting for the 33KV circuits. It is envisaged that the restriction will be in force from 26/04/25 until 15/07/25 inclusive, however the maximum duration of this Order will be until 04/08/25. The closure period will only apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs & a local alternative route will also be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrians, Public Footpath 15.112/3/1, Ripon, Order 2025 No 133, Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14(1) (As Amended). We intend to make this Order to prohibit any pedestrian from using the Public Footpath 15.112/3/1 in the Parish of Ripon, between grid reference SE31107201 & SE31037179 for a temporary period of up to six months (subject to access to premises) between 28/04/25 & 27/10/25 due to excavation work on a narrow path. Prohibition Of Heavy Commercial Vehicles, Various Roads, Harrogate, Order 2025. Notice is hereby given that on 4 April 2025 we made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1), 2(2), 2(4) & 3(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which is to prohibit any heavy commercial vehicle (i.e. any goods vehicle which has an operating weight exceeding 7.5 tonnes) from proceeding along any road or length of road specified in the following list, except for certain permitted purposes which include the conveyance of goods/access to or from premises situated on or adjacent to any of those roads, for the purposes of agriculture on land accessible from & only from any of those roads or for the garaging, servicing or repairing of a vehicle at premises accessible from & only from any of those roads, in its entire length.
