Medway, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices
What is happening?
WOULDHAM ROAD, ROCHESTER
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable the structural integrity of telephone poles to be tested -
Wouldham Road, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the entrance to Ringshill Farm. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be provided and signed.
This order will come into force on Tuesday, 29 April 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 29 April 2025 and are programmed for completion within one day (with works taking place between 9.30am and 3.30pm. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

WILLIAM STREET, RAINHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out -
William Street, Rainham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 8 William Street.
Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Station Road, Henry Street and Taswell Road.
This order will come into force on Monday, 28 April 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 28 April 2025 and are programmed for completion within five days.
The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

WARDEN ROAD, ROCHESTER (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to
be carried out -
Warden Road, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 4 Warden Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Bretton Road and Maidstone Road.
This order will come into force on Tuesday, 13 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 13 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within four days.
The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

THE RIDGEWAY, CHATHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable highway maintenance works to be carried out -
The Ridgeway, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with Maidstone Road and the junction with Walderslade Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Maidstone Road and Walderslade Road.
This order will come into force on Wednesday, 23 April 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 23 April 2025 and are programmed for completion within two days (with works taking place between 7am and 7pm). The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
