Highways Notice
NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –
Cemetery Road, Weston
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Cemetery Road, Weston – From the junction with Whites Lane to the junction with Spinney Drive.
The alternative route will be via Weston Lane, Back Lane, Casey Lane, Newcastle Road, Weston Roundabout, Main Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Tuesday 6 May 2025 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Monday 19 May 2025.

Public Rights of Way Notice
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS
Public Footpath No. 5 (Part) Parish of Henhull
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire East Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following:
That length of Public Footpath No.5 (Part of) which commences at OS grid reference (OSGR) SJ 6394 5292 and runs in a generally southern direction for approx.450m to OSGR SJ 6422 5260.
The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger while investigatory works are being carried out to the embankment.
The Order came into force on 31 March 2025 and will continue in force for a period of six months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.
