Weston Road - Temporary Road Closure For Major Gas Mains Replacement Scheme
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
WESTON ROAD, ASTON-ON-TRENT
WHEN: 28 April to 19 June 2025
WHERE: Weston Road, Aston-on-Trent from its Jct. with Willow Park Way for an approx. distance of 940m south.
REASON: To facilitate major gas mains replacement scheme.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Weston Road, Derby Road, B5010 London Road, Thulston Island, Shardlow Road, Snelsmoor Island, Snelsmoor Lane, High Street, A514: Swarkestone Road; Derby Road, Swarkestone Road, Main Street, Weston Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
