GORCHYMYN CEFNFFORDD YR A48 (CYLCHFAN LLANSAWEL I GYLCHFAN SUNNYCROFT, CASTELL-NEDD PORT TALBOT) (DILEU CYFYNGIADAU) 202-

MAE GWEINIDOGION CYMRU yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn o dan adrannau 82(2) ac 83(1) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984.

Effaith y Gorchymyn yw dileu cyfyngiadau er mwyn adfer y terfyn cyflymder cenedlaethol ar y darnau o gefnffordd yr A48 a bennir yn yr Atodlen i’r Hysbysiad hwn.

Yn ystod cyfnod o 21 o ddiwrnodau o 9 Ebrill 2025, ymlaen, gellir edrych ar gopi o’r Gorchymyn arfaethedig, y plan a Datganiad o’r Rhesymau dros wneud y Gorchymyn, yn rhad ac am ddim, yn ystod oriau agor arferol yn Llyfrgell Port Talbot – Llawr Cyntaf, Canolfan Siopa Aberafan, Port Talbot SA13 1PB. Y darn o gerbytffordd tua’r gogledd yr A48 sy’n ymestyn o bwynt 20 metr i’r gogledd o’i chyffordd â system gylchu Cylchfan Sunnycroft, hyd at bwynt 420 o fetrau i’r de o’i chyffordd â system gylchu Cylchfan Llansawel.

Y darn o gerbytffordd tua’r de yr A48 sy’n ymestyn o bwynt 17 o fetrau i’r de o’i chyffordd â system gylchu Cylchfan Llansawel, hyd at bwynt 362 o fetrau i’r de o’i chyffordd â system gylchu Cylchfan Sunnycroft.

THE A48 TRUNK ROAD (BRITON FERRY ROUNDABOUT TO SUNNYCROFT ROUNDABOUT, NEATH PORTH TALBOT) (DERESTRICTION) ORDER 202-

THE WELSH MINISTERS propose to make an Order under sections 82(2) and 83(1) to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order is to derestrict to the national speed limit the lengths of the A48 trunk road specified in the schedule to this Notice.

During a period of 21 days from 9 April 2025, a copy of the proposed Order, plan and a Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be inspected, free of charge, during normal opening hours at Port Talbot Library – First Floor, Aberafan Shopping Centre, Port Talbot SA13 1PB. These documents can also be viewed on the Welsh Government’s website at https://gov.wales/road-orders.

Objections, specifying the grounds on which they are made and quoting reference number qA2277981, must be sent by e-mail to TransportOrdersBranch@gov.wales or in writing to the address below by 30 April 2025.

Should you wish to object, support or make representations, the Welsh Government may need to consult with people and organisations outside the Welsh Government.

As part of the consultation process we may pass information to them, including information you have provided and your personal data. We will, however, only disclose your personal details where it is necessary to do so to address the issues raised. If you do not wish for your personal data to be forwarded to third parties, you should state this when submitting your correspondence.

The Welsh Ministers will copy the representations to the appropriate third parties with the name and address removed and if there is to be a local Public Inquiry, the representations will be seen by the Inspector who may give them less weight as a result.

The length of the A48 northbound carriageway that extends from a point 20m north of its junction with Sunnycroft Roundabout gyratory, to a point 420m south of its junction with Briton Ferry Roundabout gyratory.

The length of the A48 southbound carriageway that extends from a point 17m south of its junction with Briton Ferry Roundabout gyratory, to a point 362m south of its junction with Sunnycroft Roundabout gyratory.
