NOTICE OF MAKING OF AN ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. BCC/493 (PT)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER (NO.3) 2025

The above named order, made on the 3 April 2025 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert the public footpath running from:
• grid reference 356867 169108, at the rear of No 73 King’s Head Lane, in a northerly direction to grid reference 356862 169146, at the front of No 77 King’s Head Lane, being a distance of approximately 39 metres with an undefined width; to a line running from:
• grid reference 356867 169108, at the rear of No 73 King’s Head Lane, in a north-westerly and northerly direction for a distance of approximately 61 metres to grid reference 356841 169156 on King’s Head Lane, with a width of approximately 2.5 metres as shown on the order map accompanying the order.

The order is also made under Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (the 1981 Act) because it appears to the authority that the City Council of Bristol definitive map and statement require modification in consequence of the occurrence of an event specified in section 53(3)(a)(i) of the 1981 Act, namely the diversion of a highway shown or required to be shown in the map and statement.

A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the offices of Bristol City Council, City Hall, Bristol BS1 5TR, during normal office hours. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at a price of 30p. Copies of the order and order map may be sent by second class post on receipt of a written request at a price of £6 to cover the Council’s administrative costs.

Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to the Service Director, Legal and Democratic Services, City Hall PO Box 3399, Bristol BS1 9NE, quoting reference DB3/11356140 not later than 21 May 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Bristol City Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.

Dated: 9 April 2025
