Kilnwick Road - Temporary Traffic Regulation

What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
PART OF KILNWICK ROAD, POCKLINGTON

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order
the effect of which is to prohibit any person from
causing any vehicle to proceed along part of Kilnwick
Road, Pocklington from number 93 to St Helens Road
junction commencing Thursday 17 April 2025.
The road closure is necessary to enable carriageway
works to be carried out in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated
that the works will be completed within one day.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order
is via Kilnwick Road, Fishpond Hill, Millington Lane,
Kilnwick Percy Hill, Cattle Hill, Baggaby Hill, Inrea
Hill, Warter Park Access Roads, Westbeck Hill, Main
Street, North Dalton Road, Driffield Road, Bainton
Roundabout, Bainton Road, Kirkburn Road, Tibthorpe
Road, Middleton Road, Main Road from Middleton
to Bainton, Church Hill Road, Front Street, Market
Weighton Road, Kiplingcotes Road, Towthorpe Lane,
Shiptonthorpe Roundabout, York Road, The Balk,
White Mill Roundabout, The Balk Roundabout, Station
Road, Grape Lane, George Street, Chapmangate,
Bridge Street, London Street and St Helens Gate,
Londesborough CP, Middleton CP, Nunburnholme CP,
Warter CP, Market Weighton CP, North Dalton CP,
Pocklington CP, Hayton CP, Bainton CP, Shiptonthorpe
CP, Pocklington Provincial Ward, Driffield and Rural
Ward, Beverley Rural Ward, Wolds Weighton Ward.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but
remain open at all times to pedestrians and for
vehicular access to properties directly affected by
the closure and for emergency services. The Order
will commence 17 April 2025 and continue in force
for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until
the works which it is proposed to carry out have
been completed, whichever is the earlier. Further
